I am following Captain pants’ example and will choose to refrain from trying to catch up on the holidays at this point. All I have to say is, we mostly enjoyed our holidays with lots of family, friends and food.
Now its now, and I have to say I feel sad. I don’t write about my emotions on my blog a whole lot, and one of my goals this year is to do more of that. The reason I am sad has nothing to do with A and I directly, and everything to do with close friends of ours who are going through a rough time and have decided to move back east to be closer to their families. I feel can completely understand their position and their feelings, so I am sad for them in that way. I am also sad, because they are moving across the country and we will not get to see them very much and I am really going to miss them, and I am sad because it makes me think of my situation, and what I would do if one of my loved ones was sick. Sigh.
Yesterday the canal was officially opened. A and I joined his cousin from BC, A, and other local cousins for dinner and skating fun. ABC had never skated on the canal before, so after a lovely dinner at Milestones where I had one of the tastiest salads I have had in a long time, we went down to the canal to skate. We went from the NAC to Landsdown and back. We of course had a beavertail half way to warm us up. Skating was so much fun and great and needed exercise, and I can’t wait to go back.
