Yay Long Weekend!

I cant believe it is August already! Wow, this summer is going to be gone next time I blink.
I had a pretty uneventful week, except that on wednesday morning, when I flipped my calendar to the new month I realised I had an exam that eveing. Oops, I was lucky I did that in the morning, and my midterm wasnt until the evening, still had a few hours of study time :) I think my exam went as well as could be expected!
Our first little tomatoes are starting to ripen. They are a nice orangy red and I can not wait to eat one! yummmmmm!
Today I made hummus and pasta sauce and dinner. I went to the library to pick up some more books for my english lit. class and did some quick groceries. Alan and I have been cat sitting for his parents this week while they were on holiday visiting with some friends and family. I brought them some of the supper I made and left it in their fridge, because the worst is when you get home from a long trip to have to do groceries and make dinner and get back into the routine right away, dont you think? I do anyway...
Tonight we're going to the drive-in I am *so* excited. We havent been able to go yet this summer, so it will be a nice break of routine. Other than that we dont have a lot of excitement planned for this weekend. We're thinking of working on some project around the house, perhaps finish the garden project, or clean up the garage or fix the wall of our house, havent decided yet. We might also go and see Alan's poppa zs we havent seen him in ages. All posibilities.
Our friends are getting married in Newfoundland tomorrow and I really wish we could be there to see it. I hope they will have wonderfully happy day and a nice weather!
I am planning a party for my 25th birthday. I almost never celebrate my birthday with friends, I think this is the first time in 10 or more years that I am, and I am *really* excited and looking forward to it! I hope people can make it on short notice, either way, I'm planning on having a good time.
