Another weekend came and went

Yesterday I went shopping for Cs baby shower that was later in the day. I found some nice
books and some onesies for the little girl and a really cute card. I came home, wrapped the gifts and then left again to pick up L as we were carpooling to the Frew where the shower was being held. It was a busy shower. They had 3 tables with chairs set up in the basement. I think there were about 20 people there and there were a lot of games, including a singing game. Not really my thing, the things you do for your friends. In total I think we played about 6 games... There was lots of food and C seemed happy.
Today A and I slept in. I did some excersise, which after having been sick for a week was difficult to do, but I did my best, and I can really feel my muscles tonight. We got the house ready for company as A was going to show M and J their wedding pics.
Another thing we got accomplished was getting rid of our old couch and chair. I posted them on kijiji and used ottawa, and we had people inquiring after them within 3 hours. By the sounds of things, they will be out of our garage around lunch time tomorrow, so we can finally park the car in the garage again, just in time before the cold hits. I love freecycling :) I have never actually posted anything before, and it is very exciting and encouraging that we got rid of the furniture this quickly. I am already thinking about other things I might be able to post on there...
In the end, M and J were not able to make it over, instead we had mom and dad and their friend J over for a nice sunday night dinner. We had a pork roast, roast potatoes, carrots and a caeser salad. Yum!! We had a nice time, chit chatted and looked at our trip pictures. J gave us some lovely handsoap as a hostess gift, very sweet and thoughtful of her, and now it is now, time to go to bed, night night.
